Levi’s® Music Project and Khalid partner to bring music education resources to a young generation of musicians around the world, starting with his hometown of El Paso. This year, Levi’s® Music Project is taking place on the ground and online, launching its first Discord server to expand into a digital, global, music education community—created by artists for artists.
Khalid and 15 other artists are kicking off always-on music education projects with inspiring interviews, online challenges, intimate live feedback sessions, and more. For his project, Khalid is inviting all music-makers to remix his hit, “Better.” Khalid’s vocal parts and stems are available on Levi's® Music Project Discord server.
Music students across the globe can experiment with Khalid’s sound to make something new and get feedback from the Discord community. Khalid also surprised the Boys & Girls’ Club of El Paso, by showing up on site and unveiling a brand new music room to inspire new generations of musicians in a city and community that’s made him the artist he is today. Music students in El Paso will embark on a 4-week digital music production course and music video shoot.
Musicians everywhere will get inspired by Khalid’s stories from behind the stage, head into the studio with his sound engineer Denis, and connect with other musicians from around the world in the new Levi's® Music Project Discord Server.
Khalid’s project will culminate in a music video, a global collaboration featuring the top Better Remix Challenge submission and footage shot by the Boys & Girls’ Club of El Paso.
